Jose Mario Matos Beloved husband and loving father; Mass is on Friday Jose Mario (Joe) Matos, 49, of Belleville, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at the Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Branch Brook Memorial Home, 101 Union Ave., Belleville. A Mass will be offered on Friday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, Belleville. Family and friends are welcomed to the funeral home beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Born in Gafanha Da Encarnacao Ilhavo, Portugal, Jose lived in Belleville for many years. He worked for Alfa-Graphics Printing Co. in Montclair, N.J., for many years. Jose was a beloved husband to Debra (nee McNulty); loving father to Christian and Samantha, and cherished son to the late David Jesus and Maria dos Angos (nee Ribeiro) Matos. He was a dear brother to Maria Tarataca (Joao), the late Maria Palmira Matos-Abud, John Matos (Ilizabete), and Maria Paula Parmenter (Paul). Jose also is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
