SALERNO, Bruno, 91, of Bloomfield passed away peacefully on Saturday August 13th at his residence. Bruno worked as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW4) for the New Jersey National Guard for many years before retiring. He was a beloved husband to the late Antoinette (nee:Palmieri), a loving father to Salvatore (Sal) and his wife Olga and to Thomas (Tommy) Salerno. Bruno was also predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Nicolina (née:Barillari) Salerno. A visitation will be held on Thursday August 18th from 2:00 to 4:00pm and from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the Branch Brook Memorial Home, 101 Union Ave, Belleville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday August 19th at 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 63 Franklin St., Belleville. Family and friends are welcomed to the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00am, prior to mass. Interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
